Project Supplies: • Battery-operated candles. • Craft paint and small paintbrushes. • Felt or fleece. • Buttons. • Hot glue gun and glue. Begin by removing any labels from the candle. We used battery operated candles, but you could use a tall white prayer candle in a glass too. First, paint a face onto the candle. We used black and orange craft paint. The mouth and eyes were painted with the handle end of the paint brush and black paint to look like lumps of coal.
