An Post, the post office of Ireland, is inviting suggestions for stamp topics in 2025 and beyond, before a shortlist is put forward to the government for approval.
Significant anniversaries, and aspects of Irish history, culture, community, geography, outdoor living, environment, flora and fauna are just some of the topics that feature on Irish stamps. Subjects to be commemorated on Irish stamps this year include ‘Keeping it Country’, a stamp booklet dedicated to country music; a set celebrating Sean O’Casey’s ‘Three Dublin Plays’ and four stamps marking the outstanding contribution of Women in Public Life, issued ahead of International Women’s Day.
