Many hundreds of years ago in the city of Baghdad, there lived a rich merchant who had only one son.
When the merchant decided to retire, he told his son, “You must run my business and become a travelling merchant – but you must never go to the city of Tiflis!”
His son bought forty camels, loaded them with valuable things, and set off west to the city of Erzerum. In the city, people told stories about the king of Tiflis’s daughter, who was the most beautiful woman in the world. Tales said that she lived in a room with glass walls, and would charge people gold coins to see her.
