At last, an electric Mini that lets the rain in! What took them so long?
Well, designing a normal EV is hard enough, let alone producing one in droptop guise. So it’s surprising that there are going to be just 999 Cooper SE Convertibles made. The UK is getting 150 of them.
But will it be more than just a pretty face?
It should be. It has a 32.6kWh battery pack and 135kW motor, which sends power to the front wheels, with a range in the region of 125 miles. A 0-62mph time of 8.2secs is reasonable enough, but doubtless the best part will be getting there with the wind whistling past your ears.
