Cannon’s Auctioneers’ first on- line auction of the season will be on Wednesday and Thursday, from 8am daily. More than 700 carefully selected lots will be on offer.
They are available to view at Cannon’s premises in Hilton or online.
Day one will feature books, stamps, world ceramics, glassware, jewellery, electroplate and hallmarked silver, ending with collectables at 4pm.
Day two will start with militaria, followed by clocks, scientific instruments, art, antique furniture and Persian carpets.
Of great historical significance in the militaria section is The Natal Rebellion medal with 1906 clasp and CMG companion of the Order of St Michael and St George, which is an enamel and gold breast badge, with gold swivel-suspension bar and ribbon buckle on the original ribbon.
