The Indian Navy will participate in a large-scale multilateral maritime engagement exercise with African countries. This initiative, called Africa India Key Maritime Engagement, also known as Aikeyme, meaning “unity” in Sanskrit, is aimed at enhancing inter-operability with the navies and maritime agencies. LAST Sunday, the IFP celebrated 50 years of its existence. It was on March 21, 1975, when the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi formed Inkatha Yenkululeko Yesizwe. In the light of the tragic death of experienced pilot James O’Connell, who crashed during a performance at the West Coast Air Show in Saldanha, aviation expert Dr Guy Leitch has provided important insights into the critical factors that contributed to the fatal incident.
