When Jeff Beck gave Jimmy Page an undecorated 1959 Fender Telecaster as a gift in the late ’60s, the Led Zeppelin axeman decided to have some fun with it – first decorating it with mirrors and later replacing those with his own intricate ‘dragon’ paintings. Now, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Zep’s debut album, those iconic designs have been recreated for two limited-edition guitars. Painstakingly handcrafted in Fender’s Custom Shop in California, each axe is daubed with Page’s handwritten signature, with the ‘dragon’ guitars also featuring doodles drawn by the man himself.
