Jim Lee began his career as a music photographer during the early 1960s working with bands, such as The Who and The Kinks but he soon found his leaning veered towards fashion photography and his trajectory headed for the stars working alongside Anna Wintour for Vogue, Harpers & Queen and the New York Times. He helped to define the fashion aesthetic of the Swinging Sixties before he changed track and turned his hand to directing commercials and feature films in the 1970s.
