Watch collectors familiar with searching auction houses and vintage shops for horological treasures will surely have come across the name Imhof. Lesser known today, this firm was once internationally famous for its high-quality clocks that sat on desks, mantlepieces and sideboards across the globe.
Worldtimers, perpetual calendars, mystery clocks, marine-inspired chronometers, elaborately decorated enamel clocks and, later, alarm and travel clocks were just some of the timekeepers that made Imhof famous.
STARTING AT THE VERY BEGINNING
