Debbie Frank first laid eyes on the home in Schulenburg, Texas, when she was a child. “When my parents first moved us from Houston, Texas, to Schulenburg in 1971, this is the house we rented,” she says.
The house belonged to the same family from the time it was built around 1930 until 2006, when it became a permanent part of Debbie’s family. “I bought it with my father in 2006,” Debbie says. “Because my dad, I guess, had always told the family [who owned it], ‘Hey, if y’all ever sell it, come to me.’”
