We’re looking forward to welcoming our fourth nephew to the family, and to mark the occasion I wanted to knit a little something special. I LOVE a toe-up sock. There is something magical about casting on a few stitches using Judy Becker’s method, which feels like you’re just playing about winding yarn around your needles - and then, voilà! You have a little toe pocket before you know it, the cast-on row is invisible, and you can get straight to work on the pattern. I think this is the reason I am a toe-up convert - there are fewer stitches to work before the fun part of the pattern begins.
