THE RUSHLADE Wool Company is a family affair. Both Jess Steer and her husband Russ grew up living on farms, and now, on their own small farm in Devon, they live with their three children, three dogs, a dozen chickens and twelve cattle - plus a few hundred sheep.
“It’s a cliché, but it is a lifestyle,” says Jess, when asked what it is about farming that they love. “The opportunity to do this at Rushlade came up, so we jumped at it and have never looked back! We love being immersed in a rural way of life.”
