FANS OF textured knitting will enjoy making this drop-shoulder sweater from Pat Menchini. Its Aran-inspired patterns include narrow cables, blackberry stitch and travelling twisted stitches; the textures are worked across the top of the body and down the centre of the sleeves. The plain lower body is separated from the patterned upper by a reverse stocking stitch welt. It’s knitted in The Croft Aran, a Shetland wool from West Yorkshire Spinners.
