Tim Burton, a director and producer known for films with dark, wacky, and supernatural elements, is reviving one of his most famous characters, the troublemaking demon Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in theaters on September 6, is a sequel to a funny 1988 comedy-horror film about ghosts who ask Beetlejuice to drive a family out of their home. In the new movie, which is rated PG-13, he shows up to make more mischief.
Michael Keaton, the original Beetlejuice, is back in the role. Also returning is Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), who played teen Lydia Deetz.
