On February 25, the exhibition Words andWonder: Rediscovering Children’s Literature will open at the Harry Ransom Center, a research library and museum at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to looking at children’s roles as readers, writers, and performers, it showcases works by famous authors and artists.
The Ransom Center has “a wide range of literature and art made for, and by, children,” Erica Nunn-Kinias, one of Words and Wonder’s curators (people who choose art), told The Week Junior. However, she said the materials aren’t displayed as often as other items, so the exhibition was a chance to engage with them, learn from them, and allow the public to see them.
