From June 14 to July 6, men’s national soccer teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean competed in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. The tournament is held every twoyears and crowns the regional champion. The US and Mexico, longtime rivals, met in the final at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, where Mexico, the defending champions, beat the US, 2–1. Mexico now has 10 Gold Cup titles, the most in the tournament’s history.
The Gold Cup action began with 16 teams, including one from Saudi Arabia, a guest nation. The teams were divided into four groups for the first stage, and the top two from each one advanced to the knockout rounds.
