As people across the US took to the streets to protest the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration, colleges and the media have also pushed back against the government.
What were the protests?
On October 18, a No Kings Day of Peaceful Action took place in all 50 states and Washington, DC. Organizers said nearly 7 million people participated in about 2,600 events to protest the government. (It’s called No Kings Day because many people think Trump is acting like a king with total power rather than the leader of a democracy.)
