Students at University of California, Davis, have voted to change their college mascot from an elitist horse to a more inclusive cow. The old mascot, Gunrock the Mustang, was named for a 1930s racehorse, which student activist Mick Hashimoto says makes him a symbol of the “old elite.” UC Davis students are “hardworking people,” Hashimoto says, and will better “resonate” with “Aggie the Cow.” Police in Dover, Del., home to the nation’s largest military airport, have asked locals to stop calling 911 to complain about jet noise. Encouraging residents to “enjoy the sound of freedom” during the multiday Thunder Over Dover air show, the Dover PD called noise complaints a “complete waste of our resources,” adding that “our Chevrolet Tahoes aren’t catching those guys.” In other news
