A new AI tool can pinpoint your biological age from a selfie, reports The Washington Post. Doctors typically estimate biological age from a patient’s looks—what they call “the eyeball test”—to help them determine appropriate therapies. A cancer patient who appears to be 72 but is really 65, for example, is less likely to tolerate aggressive treatment. The new tool, called FaceAge, is designed to improve that initial judgment call. Scientists at Mass General Brigham in Boston trained the algorithm on some 60,000 photographs of people ages 60 and older.
