DOG-GONE FUN Kudos to the writers of the February 25 episode of ABC’s Will Trent. GENERAL HOSPITAL General Hospital will celebrate its 62nd anniversary on April 1 with the dedication of the new Dr. Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Wing. Genie Francis (Laura Collins), who joined the show in 1977 as a teenager and shot to superstardom as part of her iconic pairing with Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer), will play a prominent role in the episode. “I was thrilled,” says Francis. “It’s always nice when they acknowledge the fact that I’m sort of an antique here; I’m historical. I like the feeling of that.” The show was written before the January 12 death of Monica’s portrayer, Leslie Charleson.
