Two o’clock in the morning. Etienne Bleich opens his eyes. The room is dark, with no sound other than the gentle breathing of his wife, Jasmin. “Honey, did you say something?” “What?” Jasmin answers sleepily. “I thought you said something,” continues Etienne. “No, I was just dreaming. Dreaming of a black Beetle Convertible, with us driving down the road on a sunny afternoon. Anyway, sleep well!” And with that Jasmin turns over and falls back to sleep.
