VolksWorld Show 2026 gears up for biggest event yet The legendary VolksWorld Show is returning to the South of England Showground in West Sussex in 2026, and promises to be bigger and even better than last year. Set to take place on Sunday 22 March 2026, prices start at just £10 for a display pass for any air-cooled VW, together with its driver and passenger. If you prefer to make a weekend of it and camp, a pitch costs only £30, and that's for two adults and two children for two nights. What is it about Split Screen Buses that makes everyone, including their auntie and dog, lust after owning one? Ie first spotted this beauty back in the days of the Brighton Breeze event, which you may remember to have been you’ll know it was a veritable smörgåsbord of all things air-cooled. From perfect, pastel-hued Splits to ratty Buses with enough patina to rust out your camera lens, and everything in between. But amongst the chaos, sitting quietly parked along Madeira Drive like a sleeper at a sprint meet, wasa low-key, Pastel White Bay Window that stopped us inour tracks. No flashy paint job, no booming stereo, just a tidy-looking Early Bay. A stroll around the Bus revealed far more than we initially bargained for. After enjoying, and still enjoying, all aspects of the vintage VW hobby for over 50 years, I thought I’d give you all a bit of background on my VW journey this month. I know I’ve covered some of this before in previous articles but, given this month’s subject matter, it seemed apt to do a little re-cap. So, are you sitting comfortably?
