The early summer is always an exciting time in motorhome-land as the major manufacturers reveal their plans for the year ahead. We’ve certainly been busy as we dash around Europe to bring you all the news, which we’ve compiled together in this issue. And there’s more to be revealed in the October issue as the British launches tend to be slightly later in the calendar and there are a few new models that we’re not allowed to talk about yet! While campervans continue to take a huge slice of the market (and, therefore, a big chunk of the new development budget), I’m excited to see Frankia going all bold with a new design direction for its Next Cruiser motorhome. THE most talked about new model from Chausson is the one that didn’t make it to the preview – a new 6.36m rear lounge Fiat campervan, called V691, that will debut at the NEC (priced from £63,790). In the meantime, an even more compact model is the 5.99m-long C514 overcab coachbuilt, now based on the Ford Transit (price £60,790). It has a half-dinette lounge, five travel seats and a rear double bed over a garage. Using Chausson’s ‘butterfly bed’ system, more floor space can be created inside, or greater headroom in the garage. In common with other 2026-spec overcabs, the C514 benefits from new IRP+ construction (woodfree with polyester inside and out, Styrofoam insulation), with this due to follow on the lowprofile line-up for 2027. DEVELOPED from the French campervan marque, Campérêve, and owned by Rapido since 2014, Dreamer celebrates its 20th birthday next year. Unsurprisingly, therefore, there are anniversary models in both the entry-level Fun range and the premium Select line-up. The Fun range has also been simplified, with just Fun and Fun + spec levels (the top-level Addict spec is no more). There’s one new Fun model, the D68, based on a 6.36m Fiat with twin beds at the rear. Both this and the well-established D55 will be offered as celebratory models with a 20 Years Pack – cab blinds, flyscreen door, auto gearbox, awning, 150W solar panel and special upholstery. THIS Italian manufacturer has four distinct ranges and a total of 20 models for the new season – including five brand-new vehicles. Part of the French Rapido Group, it has also confirmed that UK buyers will now be served by an expanded dealer network, thanks to the addition of Nick Whale Motorhomes in Evesham. In the GiottiVan campervan range, the newcomer is the 64G, a 6.36m’van designed with flexibility in mind. Built on Citroën, Peugeot or Fiat, the 64G features rear single beds which can be converted into an XXL bed measuring up to 1.86m wide and 2.09m long. A central aisle between the beds allows for easy storage of bikes or other outdoor equipment. It features the popular ‘vario’ swingwall washroom design and has a 135-litre slimline fridge. WITH the growing success of Le Voyageur’s Mercedes Sprinter-based Héritage range, the company has expanded this line-up for the coming season so that it almost matches the choice available in the Fiatbased Eterna range. Across its portfolio, the French premium brand has also enhanced equipment levels to give greater off-grid potential. A large number of the company’s A-class motorhomes will feature a new 175-litre compressor fridge (replacing the smaller, previous 153-litre absorption model), while the standard heating system is now the diesel/230V version of the Truma Combi 6 E. For even greater comfort, a new option is Alde’s radiator-based central heating, also powered from diesel or mains electricity. ADRIA is celebrating its 60th anniversary as a producer of leisure vehicles, having also reached the milestone of the production of 55,000 campervans and 100,000 motorhomes. To mark its diamond anniversary year, Adria has launched a range of special edition models. The exclusive anniversary vehicles have up to £11,000-worth of extra equipment included as standard and will only be available in limited numbers. They are already on sale at Adria’s 27 motorhome and campervan dealers across the UK and Northern Ireland. The trio of special edition’vans are all based on automatic Fiat Ducatos and are easily identifiable with their exclusive silver paintwork and graphics. THE biggest news is the new generation of Chic C-line. It’s been almost two decades since the Chic name was introduced and, back then, the company wanted to combine the advantages of a liner-class motorhome into an ‘ordinary’ A-class model. Today, it remains the company’s strongest-selling range. The 2026 models see a new exterior, akin to the E-line’s redesign we saw introduced last year. Dominant ‘C’ branding on the radiator grille also mirrors the overhaul of the line-up over the last few years. There is a new wing badge showing the range name, too. LAUNCHED in France late in 2024, this French brand will now be bringing its campervans – the Florium Black Pearl range – to the UK in 2026. There are two models, the 59 LT and 63 LJ, based on 5.99m and 6.36m Fiat Ducatos, respectively. Each has a fixed bed layout (singles in the longer’van) and a high spec, including an overcab Skyview with de-icing function, multimedia system with reversing camera, front fog lights, Truma Combi diesel heating, 135-litre compressor fridge, 100Ah lithium battery, cream faux leather upholstery, a swing-wall shower and premium Evoluflex mattresses. ITINEO says that its new JC740, a Fiat-based A-class that sits within the Famili range, is unique in the market. It is 7.42m long and its USP is at the rear, where its twin beds can be raised or lowered electrically. Thus, the garage headroom can be increased from 93cm to 1.21m, while in their lowest position access to the beds is much easier. The beds rise and lower together and can be combined to form a huge (2.17m by 1.97m) double. Up front, the JC 740 has a spacious lounge with parallel sofas, while centrally the new layout features an L-shaped kitchen and separate toilet and shower areas (on opposing sides of the motorhome) that form an en suite. THE main news from Malibu this year is a new campervan called Relax. It has been designed to be more of an entry-level product, with a much more modern interior to appeal to a different customer base. There will be one model on the 6.36m-long Fiat Ducato, but three trim levels: Active, Ambition and Exclusive. What’s different about the Relax is that the kitchen has been placed further towards the rear of the’van, so as to not cover the side doorway. It makes the lounge feel more spacious, this being further enhanced by the lack of an overcab shelf, with top lockers running all the way into the cab. CARADO has unveiled its 2026 campervan and motorhome line-up with four new or updated vehicles. Across next season’s range, the company is introducing a series of new floorplans, plus upgraded equipment packages in both campervans and motorhomes. The updated line-up includes compact models for solo or couples’ travel, as well as larger layouts designed for families. VENTURING INTO VANLIFE The highlight is the new CV541 Pro campervan, which has a completely new layout inspired by vanlife and self-built conversions. DETHLEFFS has revealed its new 2026 vehicles, featuring an all-new tag-axle A-class designed for families. Other news from the company, which is part of the Erwin Hymer Group, includes the arrival of its 4x4 Crafter-based Globebus Performance in right-hand drive, while its campervans have been improved. We already know Dethleffs’ XL Family overcab range – now there are A-class models in the line-up, too. The first of two new models is the tag-axle XL Family I 7812-2. It’s a five-berth with rear single beds (each 2.00m by 80cm), a drop-down double in the cab and a fifth berth created from the spacious front lounge, which has straight and L-shaped sofas. THE Next Cruiser is Frankia’s all-new premium low-profile on either Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter (both automatic as standard. Its exterior is very distinctive with angular lines, in the decals, exterior corner and roof mouldings, and the wheelarches, too. It’s not just about the exterior, as the services have been reorganised with the 36cm-high double floor now having clearly defined areas for storage and the technical aspects. The garage is now 127cm tall with no lip at the doors, making it easier to load bikes. You can also opt for some external lockers without handles – apply pressure at the right point and they open electrically. KNAUS Tabbert has revealed new models for the coming season, despite going through what its new CEO called a turbulent few months. It has been through the temporary shutdown of production in early 2025, the departure of its entire management team – some of whom were under police investigation – and a huge level of overproduction and overstocking. But the company says it is still entering the 2026 season in a very strong position. For the coming year, Knaus has slashed the number of models and is focusing on its bestselling layouts. It is also removing confusion about where its brands sit in the market – Weinsberg is entry-level, Knaus is above that in the mid-market. ICONIC German brand, Westfalia, has unveiled a new compact campervan with a fixed rear bed. The Kipling, built on the latest Ford Transit Custom LWB, also has a spacious rear storage area in response to growing customer demand. Vehicles will be available from UK Westfalia dealers in January at prices starting from £60,900. The 5.45m Kipling, named after Jungle Book author, Rudyard Kipling, features twin sliding doors, allowing access from either side of the’van. Inside, the key feature is the permanent transverse double bed, which measures 1.90m by 1.30m. Flared panels fitted to the sides of the Transit Custom give the vehicle extra width to allow adequate bed length.
