Emma Heming Willis has given fans an update on husband Bruce Willis’ recent health battles, admitting that it’s “hard to know” if the 68-yearold even understands his diagnosis.
Bruce, who shares two young daughters with Emma, and three with ex-wife, Demi Moore, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in February, a progressive disease that causes damage to either or both the frontal or temporal lobes of the brain. For sufferers, it can affect their speech, personality, behaviour and movement.
“It’s hard on the person diagnosed, it’s also hard on the family,” Emma, 45, said to NBC’s Today. “And that is no different for Bruce, or myself, or our girls. When they say this is a family disease, it really is.”
