The BBC’s monthly print and online science and technology magazine, Science Focus, is seeking science and health writers, with payment between £300£700 for features between 1000-2000 words. writes Gary Dalkin. Recent online stories have ranged from the serious, ‘new technologies could reimagine baby-making as we know it’ to the light-hearted, ‘101 random fun facts that will blow your mind’, to lifestyle-orientated pieces, ‘why your brain is hard -wired to avoid exercise’.
