Dynamiq’s Gran Turismo Transatlantic 115 delivers 20-plus-knot speeds and spins heads with her aesthetics, a result of Dynamiq’s exterior-design collaboration with Studio F.A. Porsche. Her lowest weekly base rate is $165,000. LEGEND Greenland is on the summer itinerary for this 254-foot ice-breaking yacht, which just finished a season in Antarctica. She’s in the Camper & Nicholsons International fleet with a weekly base rate of about $527,000 for 26 guests. It’s hard to stand out at the Monaco Yacht Show. The event is a veritable cornucopia of conspicuous consumption, and around every twist and turn is a mega-yacht, a gleaming McLaren and maybe even a crown prince. And yet, even in that environment, Baglietto’s 157-foot T-Line was one of the most talked about and openly admired yachts. ¶ The Italian build has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and weighs in at just shy of 500 gross tons. SUPERYACHTS, BY DEFINITION, are stunning, but lately, some of Europe’s renowned shipyards have been producing hulls that leave even the most seasoned yacht-spotters speechless. ¶ In Italy, B enetti Yachts launched a 3,300-ton 351-footer that is believed to be the largest yacht a private shipyard has built in the country. To achieve this build, Benetti had to invest more than $17 million in shipyard infrastructure, security and other areas. ¶ The Benetti is on track for delivery this summer, when she will join the world’s waters alongside additionally impressive new launches, including Oceanco’s Bravo Eugenia (shown below) from the Netherlands. The Ray Hunt-designed, deep-V hull form, with 23-degree transom deadrise, diced the tempest-fueled chop off Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Whitewater was mashed to mush as my ride sped across the salt. ¶ Her standard triple 400 hp Mercury Verado 400R outboards (twin 627 hp Seven Marine outboards are optional) hummed along as my test 40C hit stride around 25 knots. The Bluegame 62’s vibe is sport utility, but the reality is that she’s a 38-knot yacht. She’s for the yachtsman who wants something more than the biggest center-consoles, but who doesn’t want to stray too far from a package that already works. ¶ Bluegame, which the Italian yachtbuilder Sanlorenzo recently purchased, premiered as a brand about 15 years ago with a custom 55-footer. Then came three production models: the Bluegame 42, 47 and 60. One of the vessel’s notable features was its triple IPS600 diesels.
