The Great Horses for Health Relay aims to raise awareness of how horses can help mental health and wellbeing and is supported by several sporting stars, including footballers Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Hoddle, and dressage legend Carl Hester.
Its patron is HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and over £10,000 had been raised at the time of writing. The money will be split between seven charities: Bransby, Horseback UK, Hope Pastures, HorseWorld, Riding for the Disabled Association, Redwings and North Wales Horse Watch. The relay is also supporting the British Horse Society’s Pass Wide & Slow road safety campaign.
