■ The ECCO FEI World Championships 2022 for dressage, jumping, vaulting and Para riders, held in Herning, Denmark, during August, led to a significant medal haul for Great Britain’s riders, with 11 won in total — the highest tally that was equalled only by the Netherlands.
Dressage rider Lottie Fry led the way for the Brits with two individual golds — in the grand prix special and the grand prix freestyle — aboard Van Olst Horses’ mesmerising black stallion Glamourdale (main picture). Lottie and her teammates (Charlotte Dujardin, Gareth Hughes and Richard Davison) also collected a team silver medal behind the host nation, Denmark.
