1 Not many people know that my mum, Brenda Dracott, was a carriage driver who took part in driving trials. At one point she had four carriages, but I never got a chance to do driving as she got rid of her big horses when my two brothers and I came along. As kids we had ponies, although, having said that, my eldest brother, Thomas, gave up before he had barely begun, with only Adam, my middle brother, showing enthusiasm like I did. I did everything in the Pony Club, from showjumping, eventing and dressage to mounted games, and from there I progressed to eventing horses up to intermediate level until the age of 19 when I gave up after starting my farrier's apprenticeship.
