GET MOODY
WITH JAPANESE BREAKFAST
On March 21, Michelle Zauner and her band will release their first album in four years, For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women), a reflective collection of songs about the perils of desire and success that’s underpinned by intricate melodies and arrangements.
STEP INTO
CECILY BROWN’S POWER
Featuring more than 30 paintings and drawings, “Cecily Brown: Themes and Variations,” opening on March 9 at Philadelphia’s Barnes Foundation, surveys three decades of the British artist’s practice. Using bold gestural brushstrokes and explosive applications of color, Brown creates large-scale, erotically charged works that challenge gendered historical and cultural tropes and explore the nature of sexual violence.
