But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. LUKE 2:17-19 (NIV) CHRISTMAS IS COMING! The most beautiful time of the year when we open our hearts to the joy of the season. In Luke 2:19, all who heard of Christ’s birth were amazed, but “Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” I imagine Mary overjoyed and overwhelmed by the miracle of His birth and taking time to fully comprehend the amazing blessing bestowed upon the world. Carve out prayerful moments while on your daily walk, preparing dinner or right before bed. The more you make time for His presence, the more joy enters your heart. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.
