This is a small British movie with all the understatement that implies: low-budget, beautifully shot, great script, and contained performances by Carey Mulligan, Sian Clifford, and Tim Key and Tom Basden, who also wrote the script. And that’s almost the entire cast. A multimillionaire invites Nell and Herb, a once-successful folk duo, to reunite for a concert on an isolated Welsh island. They haven’t seen each other since they acrimoniously split, but they both need the money. It is a beautifully sweet and sad and grown-up and funny movie.
