INTRO WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER ISSUE! Doing this job for a living, I get to read a lot of different car mags, and therefore get to see just what other modified car scenes are up to. Yet, every time I flick through another mag, or wander round other club displays at shows, there's always one thing that strikes me; no other modified car scene is anywhere near as diverse and varied as we are. Take, for example, the Fast Ford stand at the TRAX show recently. GOING THE EXTRA MILE As his modifications solidified into an eye-catching build, Andreas grew ever more eager to display his Focus. Who wouldn’t? There was just one problem: the local area was low on appropriate events. “There aren’t that many car shows around Perth,” he explains, “a lot of them focus on more classic stuff. WHAT'S NEW NEWS See what’s going down in the world of fast Fords... FASTEST FWD FORD IN EUROPE! Phil Reeves recently made history at Ford Fest at the end of September. Fresh from winning the FWD UK drag series, he headed to Ford Fest with one goal – to prove that his crazy Fiesta is the fastest front-wheel drive Ford in all of Europe. The time to beat was 9.376, set by Kovacs Szabolcs in 2011. With that target in his sights, Phil lined up on the drag strip to the almost perfect conditions; the air temperature was dropping nicely, but the setting sun still ensured the track temperature was nice and warm.
