That's what happened in Miami during Art Basel, when I conceived a collaboration with my wildly entertaining dining companion, the artist Takashi Murakami. Executive Editor Laura Brown mobilized with Galerie Perrotin to commission a series of Murakami designer portraits—a perfect fit given his eye for fashion.
