The delicate signs of a Japanese illustrator meet the sophisticated taste of Hermès’ art de la table: the Kaorumi collection of porcelain dessert plates reflects the collaboration between Hèrmes and Ryo Takemasa, an artist based in Tokyo who has illustrated the pages of Monocle and The New Yorker. Kaorumi in Japanese indicates the scent and flavor of fruit, and the Kaorumi service seeks to convey these sensations through soft colors and symmetrical and minimalist designs that seem made with a compass and ruler.
