Last spring, I watched New York florist Lewis Miller (who’s coming to Palm Beach, by the way) create floral masterpieces on stage at The Society of the Four Arts and was inspired to do something extravagant with flowers. So I called photographer Joriann Maye-Keegan and started the conversation with “I have a crazy idea …” And that started into motion the project reflected on our cover and inside our pages. The plan was to pair our local florists with a muse for whom they would create a bespoke dress entirely out of flowers. There were rules: They had to use at least 85 percent fresh flowers, and they had to pull out all the stops because the most striking creation would end up on the cover. It took six months…
Festive gatherings have never been more fun than with the addition of a gourmet board from South Florida’s Beauty & The Board. Founded by Elle Mawardi in 2019, her grazing board service offers entertaining mavens a variety of luxe, tasty options that are sure to bring guests together. After more than a decade between New York and Los Angeles, fashion stylist Logan Horne has returned to the Sunshine State—not to his hometown of Ponte Vedra Beach but a bit farther down the coast. Horne may be a Palm Beach newcomer, but his line of recontextualized fashion accessories, J. Logan Home, has been lovingly received by local tastemakers, thanks in part to the town’s pronounced influence on his work. J. Logan Home dusts off fashion’s timehonored curios by transforming them into items useful to the everyday. He employs seamstresses, patternmakers, and builders in the community to craft his signature items: The Maison (shirts finished with rare vintage buttons) and The Block (stackable blocks primarily used as stools or ottomans) are made from designer scarves hand-selected from Horne’s personal archive,…
2 INDOORS The West Palm Beach fine artist duo Vibe and Guido create luxury art pieces for the home under the banner of Sabali, which means “patience” in the Bambara dialect from Mali, Africa. The name of their line exists to remind them and others to have patience in all that we do, especially in bringing creative imaginings to life. Taking a page from the unaffected harmony of nature, Vibe and Guido’s Sabali art “celebrates the perfection of imperfection and the permanence of impermanence” and may take the form of a ceramic or porcelain sculpture, painting, photograph, sculpture, or sketch. Each piece is a tangible reminder of the intangibility of life.
