A celebrity launch for The Great Holiday Home Show The spa town of Harrogate becomes the focus of the holiday home industry for The Great Holiday Home Show (8-10 September). It's a new show that has its origins in a show with a long history, beginning in 1976 at The Lawns in Hull. When the organisers invited BBC Countryfile presenter, Matt Baker, to launch the start of ticket sales, he visited the venue, the Great Yorkshire Showground – and your Editor was invited to meet him. The Great Holiday Home Show, to be held at Harrogate from 8-10 September, will be the launch pad for many new holiday homes and lodges. More than 220 holiday homes and lodges will be on display. The show takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground for the first time; it was formerly held at The Lawns, close to Hull. A new premium holiday lodge, called the New Holland, will make its debut at the Great Holiday Home Show at Harrogate (8-10 September), together with a new look for the company's popular Malton holiday home. Also on the stand will be three of the five size-versions of the Gainsborough holiday home. THE NEW HOLLAND Willerby describes the New Holland as a ‘showstopper’. It has the highest standard specification of any Willerby holiday lodge and is constructed to the residential BS 3632 standard of insulation, making it ideal for use at any time of the year. Equipment includes an Americanstyle fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a wine cooler. SWIFT GROUP The Swift Group will be unveiling the new Toronto Lodge at the Great Holiday Home Show. Not just one, but two new Toronto Lodges will make their debut – in very different interior designs. One has a country house theme; that's the Toronto Lodge Country Cottage. The other has a mix of industrial and modern styling; this one is the Toronto Lodge Urban. Both will be available with either two or three bedrooms and both are 43ft by 20ft. The Urban that will be at the show (8-10 September) has three bedrooms, creating family versatility. The Country Cottage to be displayed at the show has two bedrooms. The kitchen, dining, and lounge area of both lodges are identical in layout. The styling, though, gives them totally different characters.…

The new Kingston Palazzo combines many design elements to create a sophisticated lodge that is sure to stun you with its style. Bathroom and shower room design, in particular, is awesome. Kingston Park & Leisure Homes is based in Hull and has built its park and leisure home profile from its background in precision engineering and modular buildings. All the homes are built to BS 3632 residential specification. The company sets out to make homes that are very different, and the new Palazzo is a prime example. VICTORY LEISURE HOMES Design innovation is at the heart of Victory's ethos – and the company's two latest homes demonstrate this vividly. These are the Kahlo – named after the Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo —and the Bronte, with a name from classic literature. And the two homes that have new interior designs are the Lakewood and the Lochwood. These will be among 21 homes on display at the Great Holiday Home Show (8-10 September). When we visited Victory to compose these reviews, the interior of the Kahlo was still being completed – hence Victory supplied artist's impression images for these pages.
