George Lois, the iconic creative director, has long been a hero of mine. So much so that at the 2010 MIN Awards, where George was inducted into the Editorial & Design Hall of Fame (and Bazaar was honored for cover of the year), I brought one of his books for him to sign. But even better than an autograph, George delivered the highest praise I could ever receive—he told me that he loved our covers. What is Anne Hathaway's idea of daring dressing? "Wearing whatever you want," says the fearless actress, which, in her case, is a hybrid of pared-down glamour and edgy basics, or, as she puts it, "I aim for low-key French tomboy chanteuse, but I usually just look schlubby."
