FLEABAG I found the first season of Fleabag – unquestionably brilliant as it is – quite difficult to watch: kind of cringy in that uniquely Brit way. But the second season is really terrific: hilarious, smart and oddly moving. It also has one of the best descriptions of menopause I’ve ever heard (delivered by the marvellous Kristin Scott Thomas, in her wonderful cut-glass accent). DOCUMENTARY NOW! This rude series of mocumentaries pokes fun at serious doccies like the Chef’s Table series (which I love, by the way) and others. Their send-up of Jiro Dreams of Sushi (called Juan Likes Rice and Chicken) is hilarious. I also loved Waiting for the Artist (starring Cate Blanchett), which is a parody of The Artist is Present, a documentary about performance artist Marina Abramovic.…
