Hello, readers! This issue I have the honor of stepping in for Editor-in-Chief Donna Schill (don’t worry, next time we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming). The Best Apps issue of iPhone Life magazine is one of my favorites because it can bring the most tangible benefits to our readers. The world of tech and how it integrates with our everyday lives is changing at a dizzying speed. While this makes it an exciting industry to work in, there’s a real anxiety many are feeling about the changes, specifically the integration of Artificial Intelligence, which we touch on in Trending on page 8. I believe an important part of this technology revolution is knowing how to use these new tools to better our own lives, productivity, and creativity instead…
A.R.C. Crossbody Bag ($69.99) This bag is perfect for my smaller tech gear. I can easily fit my iPad Air, iPhone, charging cables, and more in the various compartments that keep everything organized and in place. The zipper opening is much bigger than comparable bags, so you can easily see what you need and quickly grab it from one of the handy pockets instead of having to blindly fish around. When I throw in my wallet and a book with the rest of my tech gear, it becomes the perfect “personal item” for carrying on when flying. And this is also a great bag for carrying smaller iPhone photography equipment such as lenses, adapters, and an SD card. -Sarah Kingsbury, Editorial Director Tales from the Green Valley (Free on…
AI-XIETY Nearly One Third of Adults Feel Anxious about Artificial Intelligence According to a study done by the mindfulness app Calm, 29% of adults are feeling anxiety about AI. But on the other hand, 21% reported feelings of optimism or excitement about these new developments. How AI ultimately shapes human societies remains to be seen, but it’s definitely going to be an interesting ride. SAY CHEESE Flip Your Phone for Better Photos If you’ve ever wondered how to juice up your photos, you might want to try turning your phone upside down. Influencers swear by this trick, and a study done in August 2023 even suggested that selfies might look more…
I am writing a book about my coaching practice. To lighten things up and convey the ideas visually, I decided to see if I could use artificial intelligence to generate the illustrations. But where to begin? I started playing with Apple Intelligence on my iPhone 15 Pro. Later, I tried apps that don’t require Apple Intelligence. I began by downloading the Apple Intelligence-based Image Playground app (free), which you can also use in Messages. The user-friendly, well-structured app makes image creation fast and easy. The app invites you to combine up to six ingredients including a description of an image, an existing or new photo, and auto-generated suggestions like “summer,” “farmer,” and “scarf.” “Playground” is an apt name, as it gives novices a chance to play and create. However, it…

Apple has already launched several device updates this year, including the iPhone 16e, a new MacBook Air, and a new iPad Air. This is looking to be a big year for upgrades and launches, so let’s take a look at everything else Apple is expected to drop in 2025. APPLE’S 2025 RELEASE SCHEDULE While we can’t know for sure what devices will be announced when until it actually happens, there’s a lot of buzz about devices we might see this calendar year.
