Welcome to this 26th edition! I'm very pleased to introduce to you this 2024 Summer edition of VERTDEVIN magazine. Château Cantenac Brown is a Grand Cru Classé of 1855 located in Margaux. The founder, John Lewis Brown, had roots in Scotland. So, in 1806 he naturally decided to exhibit the famous Tudor-style with an extraordinary mansion displaying a clever mix of red bricks and Gironde blond limestone… and 365 windows! Though this article is not about the historical Château but about the brand-new ecological cellar made in raw earth. This Second Grand Cru Classé of 1855 has just changed owner at the end of 2022: the American family Lawrence is now running the estate!
