In the March/April 2023 issue of this magazine, we reported on the birth of a cheetah cub in Coutada 11 in the Zambezi Delta in Mozambique. Tamar Kendon, a conservation biologist for Zambeze Delta Conservation and the Ivan Carter Wildlife Conservation Alliance, has some more good news to share with us:
“In December, there was great excitement when the cheetah cub was born in the Zambezi Delta. Originally, only one cub was seen, but recently, the monitoring team got a wonderful surprise when a second cub was spotted! This is a testament to how well their mother selected the den site.
